4th International Education Fair - EDUfair™ 2007
March 16-18, 2007, Hotel InterContinental Belgrade

The 4th International Education Fair - EDUfair™ 2007, March 16 - 18, 2007 , has moved to a prestigious Hotel InterContinental Belgrade. EDUfair™ is the oldest international educational exhibition in the country and the largest in the Balkans, where faculties, business schools, universities and related businesses showcase their educational offerings in order to attract best-qualified entry-level and graduate students.

More than 50 exhibitors are expected this year from major cities in Serbia as well as from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Slovenia, Switzerland and the USA. Over 10,000 visitors are expected, most of them freshmen and graduate students.

EDUfair™ is organized by Oivivio Consulting Services LLC of Belgrade, Serbia since 2004. For more information visit us at www.edufair.co.yu

Previous Three EDUfair™ Shows

The fact that both the number of exhibitors and the number of visitors has been growing steadily is the best proof that we are doing the right thing by providing information to future students. They need lots of help and guidance in this modern, rapidly changing world, and EDUfair™ obviously provides this badly needed leadership.

An estimated 50,000+ entry-level students visited over 300 exhibitors since our first show in 2004. The exhibitors hailed from major cities in Serbia as well as from 15 other European and North American countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Slovenia, Switzerland and USA.

Background

Ex-Yugoslav republics are undergoing major transformation of their educational system in order to align themselves with the modern requirements and EU standards. Countries like Serbia and Montenegro experience mushrooming of private universities and faculties that are trying to fill a gap between the requirements of the job market place and the kind of education offered by slow-moving state-owned institutions of higher education.

Tough economic situation and a scarcity of challenging jobs in these countries is now helping motivate high school graduates to seek and to make educated choices when it comes to selection of universities and faculties and thus take better control of their future and career choices.

On the other hand, new private schools have limited resources to mount larger promotional campaigns in order to introduce their offerings to their potential entry-level students (freshmen). At the present time, their main focus is limited advertising in the print media and some TV exposure.

State universities and faculties see a steady drop in the enrollment caused by a combination of outdated programs and a traditional approach to student recruitment via word of mouth. For years, the high school graduated would be coming to them. Only of recent, the state educational institutions have started advertising in the print, albeit with unattractive print ads lacking clear marketing concept.

Currently in Serbia and Montenegro, there are over 80,000 students graduating high schools per year. Out of those, more than 25,000 pursue higher education every year.

Why Should You Participate?

Belgrade's International Educational Fair – EDUfair™ provides an exhibitor with the following:

  • EDUfair™ is a unique, efficient and cost effective opportunity for institutions of higher education (universities, faculties, business and professional schools) to introduce their program offerings to their customers (prospective entry-level students, freshmen and all other people who need to upgrade their skills and knowledge) residing in Serbia, Montenegro and Republika Srpska;
  • EDUfair™ is a "one-stop-shop" for the high school graduates and their parents to get a comprehensive overview of existing educational opportunities and career choices that exist in the country and abroad;
  • This is an excellent opportunity for innovative domestic, foreign and MNC companies to present themselves and recruit potential young, bright employees, offer educational financial aid and scholarships;
  • This represents a unique market opportunity offered to the educational supporting industry: educational tools and equipment, textbook publishers, financial educations offering student loans, organs of the government, ministries, fashion and trend-setting companies, food, refreshment, etc.
