Why Should You Participate?

Ex-Yugoslav republics are undergoing major transformation of their educational system in order to align themselves with the modern requirements and EU standards. Countries like Serbia experience mushrooming of private universities and faculties that are trying to fill a gap between the requirements of the job market place and the kind of education offered by slow-moving state-owned institutions of higher education.

Challenging economic situation and a scarcity of challenging jobs in these countries is now helping motivate high school graduates to seek and to make educated choices when it comes to selection of universities and faculties and thus take better control of their future and career choices. The kids increasingly recognize that the education is a vehicle for achieving their career goals.

Currently in Serbia, there are over 80,000 students graduating high schools per year. Out of those, more than 25,000 pursue higher education every year.
