Izmene i dopune EDUfair™ Vodiča |
 |

5th International Education Fair EDUfair™ 2008
March 13 – 15. 2008.
Hotel Continental (formerly InterContinental)
Belgrade, Serbia

The 5th International Educational Fair - EDUfairTM 2008, March 13 - 15, 2008, will again take place at the Hotel Continental Belgrade. EDUfair™ is the oldest international educational exhibition in the country and the largest in the Balkans, where faculties, business schools, universities and related businesses showcase their educational offerings in order to attract best-qualified entry-level and graduate students.
More than 70 exhibitors are expected this year from Serbia as well as from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Croatia, England, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland and the USA. Over 10,500 visitors are expected, most of them freshmen and graduate students.
EDUfair™ is organized by Oivivio Consulting Services LLC of Belgrade, Serbia since 2004. For more information visit us at www.edufair.co.yu
Previous EDUfair™ Shows
The fact that both the number of exhibitors and the number of visitors has been growing steadily is the best proof that we are doing the right thing by providing information to future students. They need lots of help and guidance in this modern, rapidly changing world, and EDUfair™ obviously provides this badly needed leadership.
Over 10,500 visitor, mostly entry-level students visited the fair in 2007 and we had over 60 exhibitors. The exhibitors hailed from major cities in Serbia as well as from 15 other European and North American countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Slovenia, Switzerland and USA. Entrance for visitors is free. Oivivio is actively working with the high schools who send their students by buses as organized groups.
Background
Ex-Yugoslav republics are undergoing major transformation of their educational system in order to align themselves with the modern requirements and EU standards. Countries like Serbia and Montenegro experience mushrooming of private universities and faculties that are trying to fill a gap between the requirements of the job market place and the kind of education offered by slow-moving state-owned institutions of higher education.
Challenging economic situation and a scarcity of challenging jobs in these countries is now helping motivate high school graduates to seek and to make educated choices when it comes to selection of universities and faculties and thus take better control of their future and career choices. The kids increasingly recognize that the education is a vehicle for achieving their career goals.
Currently in Serbia, there are over 80,000 students graduating high schools per year. Out of those, more than 25,000 pursue higher education every year.
